A town hall meeting will take place in Shelter Cove tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd, where county officials will present their case for Measure O, a proposed 1-cent sales tax on the November ballot. The county estimates that Measure O would generate over $24 million annually to help:
Repair deteriorating county roads and bridges
Fix potholes
Maintain evacuation routes
Support bus services
Ensure Humboldt receives its fair share of state and federal roads funding
Location: Inn of the Lost Coast, 205 Wave Drive, Shelter Cove
Time: 3-6 PM
Shelter Cove Volunteer Fire Chief encourages community members to attend and engage. The town hall is open to all members of the public.
