FEMA has denied Humboldt County's request for federal assistance for damages incurred during the January 2024 flooding event impacted areas around the Klamath River the hardest. The latest denial comes after their denial for those impacted by the '22/'23 earthquakes that shook the Eel River Valley and the major storm events that wreaked havoc on the North Coast.
